The Hunter Emerging Art Prize is the leading art prize for emerging artists in the Hunter, with a prize pool of more than $10000 across a range of media.

Emerging artists living in the local government areas of Cessnock, Dungog, Lake Macquarie, Mid Coast, Maitland, Muswellbrook, Newcastle, Port Stephens, Singleton, Upper Hunter are welcome to enter.

Submissions open: Fri 7th February 2025 

Submissions close: Midnight Thurs 29th May 2025 

Selected artists announcement: Fri 13th June 2025 

Delivery of finalists’ works: 10am – 2pm Wed 25th – Fri 27th June 2025 

Exhibition opening: Fri 11th July 6pm – 8pm or Sat 12th July 4pm - 6pm
