SILENT AUCTION ARTWORK BY JAMES DRINKWATER
James Drinkwater is a locally based and internationally recognised artist. This work was created during his involvement with the NAS Mentorship Program where he was a Mentor. The work speaks to his broader practice of expressive painting across abstraction and figuration. His works evoke the energy of the mark making process and his interest in Modern painters.

James is represented by Nanda\Hobbs a leading commercial art gallery in Sydney identifying, fostering and building one of Australia's foremost collections of contemporary art.

Silent Auction Terms & Conditions

Bidding is open until 11:59pm (AEDT) on Tuesday 9 December 2026.

The artwork is subject to a reserve price of $5,000 AUD.

The highest bid above the reserve price at the close of the auction will be offered the opportunity to purchase the artwork.

The successful bidder will be notified within 48 hours of the auction closing and a 20% deposit must be completed within 7 days or the offer will default to the next highest bidder.

If the highest bid does not meet the reserve price, or if no bids are received above the reserve, the artwork will remain available for bidding and a new closing date will be announced.

All bids are final and cannot be withdrawn once submitted.

Newcastle Art Space reserves the right to decline bids, extend the bidding period, or withdraw the artwork from auction at any time.
