The light of the lower Barrington lends itself to contemplative meditations on the miraculous unknown which lives in our dreams as fears and longings. Its compelling majesty is equal to its lonely terror. The painting " lost " by McCubbin has always haunted and inspired me, the idea that we are just visitors to these places.
