About the artwork:

This artwork explores our growing desire to perfect humanity through AI, genetic modification, and enhancement. A warped, vividly coloured figure is exposed at the centre; its limbs flushed with unnatural tones, reminiscent of fluorescent toxic animal life, both alluring and unsettling.

The emotional and biological costs of engineered humans is alluded to as the figures face is replaced by a single, all-seeing eye, as if to override conscious decisions.
Neural cells connect the body to a foetus and blood cells, referencing the biological regenerative abilities and plasticity of the cells as in these states, there is most adaptability for manipulation.
The questions is asked where will we draw the line in redefining what is desirable or fit.
As science races ahead and opportunity to try to edit out fragility, age, or perceived imperfection increases, it is vital that we remember the plight of the human condition. To live is to be vulnerable, to change and to end.
