Mixed Media Artist
I am an abstract painter particularly interested in the large scale work of women from the New York School. My practice is driven by curiosity about the body’s role in aesthetics. I am 55 and live with my partner in Newcastle. I have three sons.
I am Eila Vinwynn and I studied fine art at east Sydney technical college in the early 80’s and went back to Sydney College of the Arts from 2011 to put my practice front and centre again. There I undertook an undergrad & Masters degrees, completed in 2018.
