Strike for Climate is inspired by a number of recent environmental initiatives in Newcastle, aimed at motivating a stronger commitment from the government on climate action and protecting the ecosystems in the region. While there are also men involved in these events, the artwork focuses on the inspiring young women who collaborate on initiatives, displaying courage and leadership to voice their concerns on environmental issues, and encourage others to be more climate conscious in the future.
