Storms and wild seas have shaped Newcastle’s coastline, and continue to do so. Powerful sea’s erode beaches, smash infrastructure and occasionally cause ships to run aground. Massive waves off our coast are an exhilarating and frightening sight. A reminder of the power of nature and our responsibility to limit our impacts on our climate and our oceans.

I was born in the Lake Macquarie area and have lived, studied, worked and played in the Newcastle area for much of my adult life. Newcastle's coast is a major inspiration for my photographic practice.
