The tugs support the ships on Newcastle Harbour. The always suprising scale is represented as the ships size often look surreal when entering and exiting the harbour especially when tug boats are with them. This artwork displays that scale with the additional effect of the late afternoon sun/ dusk viewed from a bird's eye view distance capturing the natural impression and distortion on the vessels by the light. This has been emphasised with my manipulation using digital effects and being strengthened by the use of an aluminium plate.
