About the artwork:
My physical body lives in Newcastle and while I work here my creative life and love of the practice of art also extends further outside across the international world of art. We all live in the same world and experience the same light on our skin as our earth moves around the sun. This image depicts my photographic walking in the grass steps of my own backyard, the Hunter River and the central desert combined. Exploration permits new ideas to be re-ignited back on home soil and enforces the safety of living here. While my footprints tread lightly my experience is always that of a human being who just happens to be an artist. My brand is HUMAN. My life is ART.
Short Bio
Chris Byrnes ‘ fascination with light continues underpinned by historical , experimental photography and the camera obscura. Her education includes a Master Fine Art and studies with MOMA in New York. Byrnes has exhibited and won awards in local, national and international events, continuing to work from her Newcastle home.
