Anthony Swan studied art at East Sydney Technical College (National Art School in Sydney in the 1960's. He had a career as an art teacher in Sydney and regional centres in NSW before accepting a position as Head of Creative Arts at Lambton High in 1998. Anthony has exhibited his paintings in the Hunter region and in 2022 he was a finalist in the national Gallipoli Art Prize.

About the artist:
Anthony Swan and his family moved to Newcastle in 1998 to an appointment as Head of Creative Arts at Lambton High School. Since retiring Anthony enjoys painting, travel and life with his family.
