I was completely awestruck seeing the Glass Blowers at work in a Murano glass factory in Venice, Italy.
As a woodturner, I was inspired at how such shapes and forms with long spindly stems could be so delicate, fluid and most impressively, “light”.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS is my attempt to duplicate this “lightness” in wood using traditional wood work techniques.
