My art practice is storytelling, it explores memory, moments that move me, and how shared human experiences connect us to one another.
Wish For Peace Instead is an instinctive response to news that 15,000 children have repeatedly been killed and nearly 1 million displaced since 7th Oct 2023 when the Israel Palestine war began. Fragments of salvaged cloth offer a human connection, the many layers of earthy paint and oil stick representing layers of dust, layers of rubble, layers of history and bloodshed. Carelessly scratched crosses a small token towards the many thousands of children.
