Life time reflections
To many this is just a ship, but to me this is a reflection of my life .
Made from a few rusty, old farm tools I collected across a lifetime in the Australian bush.
The blacksmith made steel blade from a hand held scythe that represents the hull ,the fence post drill bits that carry the sails & the rusty bolts that now represent cannons, these all bring back fond
memories of the time that I lived & worked in the Australian bush. Sailing ships have played a part in my imagination, from a small boy the stories of the explorers, traders & buccaneers as they traveled across the world was always a fascination for me that continues today. At 72 years of age I’m hoping for smooth sailing through till the end of my voyage , a voyage that has taken me from the rivers of the outback to blue waters of the Tasman Sea.
