The artwork is to express my feelings on solo parenthood. I have parodied a humorous scene from Cat In The Hat, a favourite childhood book in our family, to capture the sometimes stressful, sometimes humorous, and always precarious nature of raising children. The artwork explores the universal parental balancing act between maintaining our children's well-being without losing our sense of self.
