The painting is inspired by a weathered and partially damaged wooden Guanyin sculpture dating back to the Song Dynasty, its surface etched with the passage of a thousand years. Her gentle contrapposto, downcast eyes, and sculpted form embody not only divine compassion and serenity, but also the physical beauty and strength of the human body.
Through my brush, I continue the unfinished grace of Guanyin, whose arms were lost to time. From the fragments and regrets, I awaken her with endless hands and endless eyes, blossoming compassion and boundless power. Though time may erode the body, the force of awakening transcends all ages and never fades.
The composition forms a glowing circle of hands behind her, like a rising sun casting rays of belief. The palette blends warm, earthy tones evoking both spiritual warmth and the depth of history.
