Among Giants was inspired by a visit to Hamurana Springs Nature Reserve in New Zealand. Standing beneath the towering redwoods, I was struck by a profound sense of scale and presence. Their immense height made me feel small, but not insignificant—rather, grounded, humbled, and deeply aware of my place within the landscape.

What lingered long after leaving was the magical energy of the space. The forest seemed to command respect, inviting stillness and demanding presence. Looking upward through the canopy, I felt as though I was standing among giants—not simply trees, but ancient sentinels whose quiet strength transcended their physical form.

Through softened light, atmospheric depth and an exaggerated upward perspective, I sought to capture the awe, humility, and reverence I experienced in that moment.
