About the artwork:

This artwork is part of a new series of small works on paper that reflect a deeply personal journey of navigating the next stage of life where uncertainty, long-held beliefs and inherited systems begin to unravel. In challenging these internalised structures—many shaped by patriarchal frameworks—there is both discomfort and liberation.

This unravelling can bring moments of anxiety and disorientation, a sense of not knowing what comes next or how to move forward. Yet within that uncertainty lies an invitation: to soften, to release control, and to trust in the unknown. Rather than being guided by external noise or expectation, this body of work embraces a quieter, more intuitive way of being, where nature, spirituality and sisterhood have become my solace.

At its core, the series speaks to a process of shedding, of returning to the self, and of reconnecting with a deeper, embodied feminine wisdom, navigating through darkness as a space of transformation.
