This painting is a memory deeply etched in the glorious valley next to the Macdonald River just before the town of St Albans. We did a mountain bike race the next day and the anticipation and excitement was thrilling. As we drove around the bendy Settlers road I photographed this almost surrealistic scene of greens and yellows with colors so intense it appeared out of an Animation.
I couldnt shake that moment of discovery where light and color collided. I used Oil paints and pallette knives to recreate that fairytale. “Come run with me into the treeline on the edge of the hill and lets roll in the greenest fields. “
