Anemone came to realisation through experimentation and the development of series of sculptural works using consumer Packaging such as shoe boxes, Styrofoam padding , even Simon Johnson Panettone containers obsessively collected for the past 12 years are cut and shaped to create formwork for pouring concrete.
Repurposed materials are used as aggregate in the concrete form and discarded man made objects are used to become a focal point within the sculpture.
I construct my sculptures fluidly by adding and removing components based on intuition this intuitive ‘playing’ and the design principles of sculpture are the building blocks of my work.
