About the artwork:
My art delves into the dynamic interplay of water and rock, capturing ever-changing shorelines and the nuanced hues of overcast days. Crafted from porcelain, the pieces undergo a meticulous process: hand-sculpted, casted in plaster, and replicated using porcelain molds. Carved and warped intentionally, each piece embodies the transformative impact of the environment—akin to the shaping of rocks or shells along a coastline.
The green glaze mirrors diverse waterways, embodying the ocean's chaos and renewal, while whites signify the relentless force of crashing waves. These splashes of white capture the energy and movement of water, echoing the ebb and flow of tides. In addition to the water-rock narrative, the artwork draws parallels to barnacles on rocks and marine life. My creations celebrate the intricate dance between water and rock, showcasing the beauty found in the ever-evolving coastal landscape in a delicate dance of porcelain.
