SUMMER SALT + THE CLAY ROOM

ABOUT

Artists are invited to submit work created in the past year which reflects their response to Summer.
Summer Salt is a group exhibition, inspired by the coastal city of Newcastle, the proximity of the Pacific Ocean and life by the beach.  Whilst we celebrate Australian Summers for the sun and the refreshing reprieve of water with El Niño forecasts there is an undercurrent of volatility.  Summer Salt looks back over the year and welcomes in 2024. 2D and 3D works completed in 2023 are eligible for entry.

+ The Clay Room: Teachers and students of The Clay Room are invited to submit work into the show. The opening night will also include a ceramics night market hosted by The Clay Room in the new NAS Studio Residency Space.
