Reflections on Green and Black
About the artwork:
Our region is made distinctive by its natural coal reserves that represent old-world, outdated technology.
Our future depends on transitioning to cleaner, greener new-world energies.
“Reflections on green and black” pays homage to the natural beauty and richness of The Hunter region, and is an exploration of their uneasy coexistence, in a rapidly changing, yet still beautiful landscape.
The reflected sky in the water symbolises the ‘blue sky’ thinking that is our way forward.
