In this city's side
About the artwork:
My spatial perception of the landscape is like a bird’s eye view. Ground levels vary above and below the contour of the street. Some naturally formed, others shaped by human toil carving out the coastal settlement. Water’s edge accessible by layers of concrete platforms.
I perceive this land by way of edges where space meets place. Ragged cliffs stand against pounding seas, private property meets open space, and the ridgeline touches the sky. Manicured lawns and tidal rock shelves.
