The Painter in Lockdown
About the artwork:
This is a self-portrait about the state of mind where I found myself at when in lockdown. Colours irradiate from the canvas forming a dreamy scene, the artist working hand blurs when it touches the easel, she lives in between two worlds where one seems like a dream while the other constantly whispers. Various surrealistic characters accompany her all the time, living between reality and melancholy.

I relocated to the Lake Macquarie area where I have my painting studio in the bottom part of the house, next to the bushland of Munibung Hill. I call this place home now after almost 2 years.
