Lezlie Tilley

Lezlie Tilley born 1949 Sydney, lives and works in Newcastle NSW.

Tilley has lectured in art and media at the Hunter TAFE Newcastle Art School and the University of Newcastle.

She works in a variety of techniques across painting, collage and sculpture in media including oil and acrylic, brass and recycled timber. Lezlie has extensive experience exhibiting in both solo and group exhibitions locally and nationally.  She was represented in Sydney by Brenda May until May retired. Her work is in major collections around Australia. She has been part of the mentorship program over several years.

'I have worked as an art teacher in the tertiary sector for the past 35 years, teaching painting, drawing, colour and design.  I have also developed my own art practice working with abstraction, installation and conceptual artworks.  Since the mid 80s I have exhibited in both Australia and overseas, as well as winning many art prizes.  My works have been in publications both in Australia and China.  

I would love to work with a serious emerging artist.  I believe I have a lot to offer. '
