About the artwork:

This Sculpture evolved into a physical reflection of my mind- shaped by 6209 days of grief.
Built from scrap wood. The surface it matt black, absorbing all colour reflecting only tone.
It holds a twilight quality.
The structure rises through repeated forms- blocks, curves and barriers - like time layered upon itself.
It becomes a space both inhabited and abandoned, with shifting perspectives as it is viewed from different angles. Circular forms representing the cyclical nature of time, like the moon constantly returning.
The forms surround, enclose, with protection and restriction co-existing.
