Wrinkles, cellulite, hair, oh my!

I honour these natural features that every woman experiences in their body. These textures of life that have been reduced to flaws and something that can be erased from ourselves (apparently).

A hairy leg, curvy cellulite, and wrinkles are stacked to mock ‘The Fountain of Youth’. Their naked and porous unglazed surfaces convey the raw truth of existence and unadorned self as just plain human.

This work represents a reclamation of my own body and how it functions. I invite you to also reconsider the dignity of your humanity and aging.
