The Edge of Things
About the artwork:

The edge between one space and another is where friction and diversity erupt. The shelf of rock on the Newcastle coastline bares lines of stress and division. In this place a narrow ledge of diversity thrives. Snails and sea urchins shelter in rock pools, sand rolls across the surface. This topography draws a map in our consciousness. We impose our human existence on what we see. We find hope in the presence of delicate life amid a space of immense energy and the collision of water against rock.
