This work pays homage to the women potters of the 70's and 80's who were responsible for influencing a generation of committed ceramic artists. Some were teachers such as Madeline Scott Jones, Ros Earp, Barbara Pengelly, Jane Barrow, Helen Dunkerly, Sue Jones and Sue Stewart. Rarely acknowledged some of these women continued the legacy inspired by Bernard Leach and the master potter Soji Hamada. Most are represented in the world class ceramic collection at NAG. They were all shining stars.
