About the artwork:
I have represented and acknowledged the 6 different Aboriginal Countries which have been, and always will be, part of the Hunter Region (included in the bigger description).
For me, this painting explores the relationship between the people and the vast environment that the Hunter Region offers. Rather than one specific setting within the Hunter Region, I decided I wanted to celebrate the full extent, and encompass all of the features of the Hunter Region and all that it provides.

About the artist:
My connection to the Hunter Region includes living on Awabakal land since I was 10 years old (over 15 years). Not only am I residing in Newcastle but also have relatives living within Newcastle also.
