Working for the man
About the artwork:
A depiction of domesticity informed by the working-class, Irish Catholic families of the Hunter Valley. These families, like my own, predominantly feature women working hard in the home and in the church, largely out of the heavy guilt placed on women in particular under Catholicism.

I was born and grew up in Maitland, before moving to Newcastle in 2013. Currently living in Carrington and exploring the interiors and domestic life in the Hunter Valley through my artistic practice.
