Semi abstract and landscape, this piece pays homage to Environmentalist Carol Gilbey who worked tirelessly her entire life, to rehabilitate the native bush surrounding the Belmont sand dunes. The painting is inspired by the aerial view of ‘Carol’s Beach walk’, traversing across the bush and wind swept dunes towards the beach. Shrouded in salt spray, the colours and textures call to mind the native wild flowers in the area. A labour of love forever immortalised in the beautiful natural landscape.
