The Pale Tide
About the artwork:
A Pale Tide was produced in response to the complex mishandling of Australian waterways and comments on the fundamental incompatibility of profit motivation and healthy ecosystems. I often work with found materials, including leaves burnt during the fires of 2020/2021, which burnt within metres of my studio. Further travel across the riverbeds of the Murray Darling informed my research into water management practices, and this dreamscape was the result of a meditation on both these worlds.
