The Shores of Awaba
The Lake forms a space that is the heart of the land named after it, lake Macquarie.
The landscape of our human body forms the earth, forms the shores of Awaba.
Spirit figures create spaces within and around them, forming the lake, the skies and the earth.
As clouds, their bodies push against the curvature of the earth, spinning up to the heavens; they will come home as rain to rejoin the lake.
Even those figures who have wings must return to the land. It is where we belong.
