River to a City
About the artwork:
My artwork tells a story, starting with acrylic paints putting down a base colour and shapes on Linen of Newcastle city and surrounding wetlands. Then using oil paints I put down details of a correlation between nature and a built environment, showing a city with housing and industrial precincts fringing on beaches and the ocean. Next is the Hunter River that connects and snakes its way through mountains, wetlands to our all important harbour and ocean right down to the skyline of a new city.
