In the Limelight
About the artwork:
My artwork was inspired by what I thought at the time was a spectacular sight, that of our local sporting fields, National Park in Union Street, Cooks Hill, just on dusk. The sky was a riot of purple and orange, and the grounds lighting had turned the fields into fluorescent green. With the recent success of our Matildas soccer team, I thought that 'In the Limelight' was an appropriate name for the painting.
