Playing with texture, I aimed to bring out the natural beauty of the environment from the Newcastle and Hunter regions.. My painting depicts the region's unique characteristics which include its rural landscapes, sand dunes, rock formations, valleys, mountains, and river channels. My focus was to portray the vast open space of a peaceful landscape. A place where we can find solitude. A place where we can feel refreshed and re-energised by being away from the bustle of every day life.
