Artist Name:
Lisa Ellen Hughes
Honey, Ferry to Stockton from Newcastle
About the artwork:

Honey honey, Ferry to Stockton from Newcastle is a composite narrative of the aquatic activities and harbour view from Queens wharf near the honey suckle waterfront. I have fond memories of the harbour and the ferries that still service the trip to Stockton. As a child I would fish on the old wood wharf, you could smell the salt filled the air and flowers on a lazy day. Now all is gone and replaced with high rise buildings, the water is a muddy brown from the increased water traffic.
