After watching the whales earlier this year I capture a few images on my phone of the view back along the coast, one of these images became the source for this artwork. One of the joys of living in Newcastle and the Hunter is, on a warm afternoon, the cool sea invites you to float on the calm ocean. As an artist I have explored many mediums and spent the last 5 years working with watercolours, the change back to acrylics presents some challenges after the flow and change of watercolour.
