Les Nuages Bleu (The Blue Clouds)
About the artwork:
When I moved from the city to the Cessnock area, due to the open spaces, I became much more aware of the sky and the cloudscapes that continually formed and transformed overhead. The topography of the landscape and the clouds above are intertwined in a constantly changing dance of light, shape and form, which is the subject of this painting, Les Nuages Bleu (The Blue Clouds).
The clouds also have a dark and overbearing quality to them, suggesting the threat of climate change.
