"Nobbys In The Round" is a perspective of an iconic landmark in Newcastle and the Hunter. I have encompassed both Nobby's Lighthouse, the Breakwater, the sand dunes & ocean in an abstract representation using acrylic paint & mixed media on board. The circular aspect of my artwork is to accentuate the natural world: the globe, the sun, the water bubbles, the grains of sand, and the lens of the beacon from the lighthouse. These are the topographical features that bind society to our environment.
