The Ghosts and The Promise
About the artwork:
The heart of the city is alive with demolition and resurrection. Shops are boarded up waiting for their time to be brought back to life. In the absence of life on the boarded shopfronts, people take the opportunity to create their own art by leaving their marks. They tell the world they were once there, much like the shops before them. The current look of the city angers people. Some see an eyesore, others a promise of change. Me? I see comfort in the mess and the grunge and feel at home.
