About the artwork:
This semi abstract landscape piece explores the topography and tones of the iconic Newcastle Baths. The aerial perspective of the painting juxtaposes the wild coastline with the geometry of the baths. The tension between the two epitomises the character of our coastal city against the beautiful backdrop of the Hunter region.
The artwork uses acrylic paints and medium on exposed ply board and raw stretched linen and endeavours to strike a tension between an impressionist and expressionist style.

About the artist:
I live and work as an Architect and artist in Lake Macquarie. I studied and lived in Newcastle for the duration of my Architectural masters Degree between 2007 - 2015 and returned here in 2020.
