About the artwork:
Where I live at Pindimar is close to paradise. The image of the painting is of dawn looking east across Port Stephens towards Nelson Bay on the right of the horizon and the heads at the entry to Port Stephen, towards the left. I have attempted to catch the almost blinding quality of the light when there are clouds around at dawn. Fred, the owner of the jetty is a neighbour and close friend.

About the artist:
I have lived and worked in Newcastle at the John Hunter Children's Hospital for the last 28 years prior to my retirement in 2008. I moved to Pindimar on. the Northern shores of Port Stephens in 2020.
