Artist Name:
Amanda O'Bryan
About the artwork:

“Spinifex” is an ode to the native coastal Spinifex grass that lines the dunes of my upbringing along the sand of Port Stephens. Now an annual family holiday, the work evokes high summer in Port Stephens, with the Spinifex standing as a refreshing sanctuary, en route to the shoreline across the scorching dunes. Through fluid marks and hot, vibrant hues, I aim to evoke the playful essence of growing up and living amidst land and sea, celebrating my enduring connection to this special place.
