About the artwork:
Anne McLaughlin is an artist, educator, refugee advocate, and curator at Maitland Regional Gallery, previously at Watt Space. This four-panel painting is a snapshot of Anne at Barry Park, Fingal Bay, where the rock face meets the ocean and vegetation clings to its walls while she battles against any weather condition. This resilient landscape is Anne. She gives her all and contributes to many.

About the artist:
I moved to Nelson Bay thirty-one years ago and furthered my art training in Newcastle. It is here I fulfilled my ambition to become an artist and made lifelong friends who have shared this passion.
