About the artwork:
“Water Birth” is a textured abstract painting set at the Merewether Baths and celebrates both the birthing mother and the incredible selfless midwives who assist them. My aim was to create the glow on the water of first light with an impressionist style of painting that creates movement.
This painting is inspired by my close friend Clare who lives in Kotara and one year ago had the most magical home water birth facilitated brilliantly by the midwives of Belmont Midwifery Group Practice.
