This series of work is inspired by the sunset scenery by the sea in Newcastle. When sun fall into ocean the ocean line and all surround landscape is dyeing into a layer of rutile and golden glass colour. As the winds blows, countless ripples are formed on the surface of the sea. All of plants, sands and ocean wave performed a night sleep music to taking care of us in the night and wait for new dawn coming. I draw on this context to utilise copper and wood as a central material to reinterpret this sensory experience. This collection of work is exploring copper and wood as a material and to challenge the tradition silversmithing of hammer techniques to produce an object the textural as ocean wave, while retaining unique pattern on the material. Furthermore, I used an ancient technique to cold forging the wood and copper together as one unit. During the copper vessels making progress, I carefully controlled he flame to soldering each component, and lasted, I hand carving the wooden handle
