This artwork seeks to find some harmony through balancing diverse, conflicting voices. They utilise a limited colour palette to express the gentle movement and flow of energy. The images provide a place for contemplation and reflection.

I have been particularly influenced by Aboriginal works from the Utopia region of Central Australia portraying art from the Anmatyerre and Alyawarr peoples. Their harmony and balance within gentle rhythmic compositions have been an inspiration.

The use of acrylic paint allows for a process to quickly build up emerging patterns and textures. It also enables for evolving layers of colour and tones in developing the composition.
