Established in 1983 as the Newcastle Community Arts Centre (NCAC),
Newcastle ArtSpace is a vital contributor to the rich cultural life of Newcastle, by facilitating, showcasing and developing creativity across a spectrum of arts activity.
Newcastle ArtSpace works with early to mid-career visual artists by creating exhibition opportunities, offering professional development training, a studio residency program and running art prizes.
We also offer an internship program in gallery skills and management, including curation and hanging of work, marketing and communications, event management and arts administration.
As a membership-based not for profit organisation our annual report is available to view in the office at 91 Chinchen Street, Tighes Hill.
